Lauren Lovatt is the most recent member to join our Franklyn for Mortgages team who will be working alongside our fantastic existing mortgage advisers, Eddie, Dale, Neil, and Nick!
After joining the team over 7 weeks ago, Lauren has been getting to know the ins and outs of the Franklyn ways, but we wanted to sit down with her to get to know her a bit better. Have a read of what she had to say:
Having grown up in Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme, Lauren is excited to work in her hometown as she has always enjoyed working with the local people and making a difference. “I am excited to work in a central branch in town again and I am looking forward to helping clients with all aspects of mortgage advice and homebuying! It makes me proud to know that I will be making a difference to people locally”.
Lauren has vast experience within the industry and first started her journey working at a local estate agency in Newcastle-Under-Lyme which is where she found her passion for property.
“I am experienced in both Mortgage and Protection Advice as well as working within Estate Agency. My knowledge in these areas, accompanied with local expertise, has been extremely valuable for me when working with clients as I am able to confidently help and guide them through all aspects of the process and support them in their journey”
When the opportunity to sit her CeMap exams arose, Lauren decided to throw herself into gaining the qualifications and experience to becoming a qualified Mortgage Adviser in an industry she is passionate about. Her hard work and dedication paid off as she soon found herself working as a Mortgage Adviser within the same Estate Agency branch in Newcastle-under-Lyme where she originally set out as a property consultant.
Like many others, covid-19 meant that Lauren had to permanently work from home and her love for property and meeting new people was sadly not being fulfilled. “I love meeting new people and building relationships, whether that is for work purposes or even just having a catch up. Unfortunately, working from home meant that I no longer had the same relationship with my clients which is something that I missed.”
Lauren thought that FFM’s values and personal approach fell in line with her own ethos and consequently decided to take on a new opportunity with us!
“I wanted to primarily go back to face to face advice and I wanted to be local to where I live. I know the area particularly well and enjoy working with local people. I love the personal feel that Franklyn promotes and the relationships that they build with their clients are more holistic and unique. Being able to help someone buy their dream home is such a great feeling and being able to see the difference you make throughout the process is worth all the hard work.”
Lauren mentions that one of her greatest professional achievements is attaining her CeMap qualification as she accomplished this in a particularly short period of time, under pressure, with no prior financial services experience. “I never really gave myself enough credit for it at the time, but it was a significant turning point in my career, and I am proud of myself for reaching my goals.”
Lauren will be based in the Newcastle-under-Lyme Franklyn for Mortgages and Stephenson Browne branch from the 23rd of May, 2022 and we are delighted to have her a part of the Franklyn Family.
