Franklyn Football Match 2019

Our inaugural Franklyn Football Match took place on Sunday the 19th May 2019 at the Bet 365 Stadium in aid of The Donna Louise. We were overwhelmed by the support and generosity from friends and family of FFM and the local community.

The game featured Team FFM, consisting of friends and family as well as ex Middlesbrough, Doncaster Rovers and Lincoln Pro, Tom Statham, battling against Team SCFC consisting of Staff at the Club and four ex Premier League Stoke Pros: Ricardo Fuller, Liam Lawrence, Danny Higginbotham and Carl Dickinson.

Even with Liam Lawrence and Ricardo Fuller joining Team FFM after half time, a win for Team FFM was not meant to be as Team SCFC Staff & Legends took the trophy with a final score of 9-2.

Team FFM and Team SCFC Staff & Legends were made up with the tremendous support at the stadium with over 200 spectators coming to watch the match. We also had a great following on our live Facebook stream. The mascots had a great time walking out with the FFM players and even helped out with the charity collection and sale of Donna Louise goodies with other younger members of the crowd.

The match was in aid of The Donna Louise Hospice Care for Children and Young People and we are delighted to confirm that the event raised just over £4,240 for the amazing charity which is an incredible amount and testament to the generosity of all of our supporters.

The Donna Louise is a truly inspiring charity who work tirelessly to help children and young adults with life limiting conditions and their families through exceptionally challenging times.

FFM would like to thank Clarke Willmott, who were our match sponsors and all involved to make the first ever Franklyn Football Match a success! We truly appreciate all your continued support and generosity.
