Exciting times for Franklyn

We’ve got a very exciting month ahead of us here at Franklyn Financial Management starting with the return of our annual Charity Golf Day on Friday 8th July, the Summer Swing.

This will be our 14th anniversary of the event and from the fantastic support we have received since the Summer Swing’s inception in 2008, we’re very proud to say that we have been able to raise more than £1.2 million over the years for charity. We only hope to be able to continue to add to this figure and appreciate all the support we have received along the way.

The event is set out to be a fantastic day with our annual golf tournament taking place on the championship course, followed by an informal evening with a delicious BBQ being served and fabulous entertainment taking place; it really is going to be so much fun for all golfers and non-golfers alike!

July will also see the Franklyn team growing ever more as we welcome three new individuals onto our FFM Academy.
The three individuals will join the second cohort of the training programme following on from the success of the first cohort who joined us last June.
Head of People and Development, Gemma Tunstall commented:
“After our first Academy graduate, Kat, successfully completed the programme, we knew we had to start recruiting for the second cohort. Kat has done so well, and we are incredibly proud of her achievements this past year. She has helped us mould the programme to what it is today, and we are so excited to train the next generation of FFM Client Managers/Advisers”.

Whilst we are looking forward to July, June has also been a very busy month for us when it comes to our Education and Community Programme.
This time of year is crucial for students who are sitting exams and potentially choosing courses that will relate to their future career paths.

We take a lot of pride in supporting young people when it comes to making decisions about their future and our Business Relations Apprentice, Kayley, has been out and about in the community supporting local students where we can.

She recently visited The King’s Church of England Academy in Kidsgrove for their Business Carousel Event, hosted by The Inspirational Learning Group, as well as Congleton High School for their ‘Speed Networking’ event.

Both events were hosted to help young people become aware of the different careers and opportunities that there are in their local towns and to encourage them to start thinking about their own futures.

Our ‘Franklyn – No Ordinary Fox’ School Tour has also continued with visits to Marlfields, Astbury St. Mary’s, Black Firs, and Mossley Primary School taking place in June!

We kick started our School Tour in May after we launched our very own children’s book ‘Franklyn – No Ordinary Fox’ earlier this year.

We created the book to help teach children the importance of investing in their future as well as themes of being kind to one another and to the world we live in.

The school tour will see us visit Primary Schools in the Northwest area to help spread the message far and wide and so far, over 200 children have already received their own copy of ‘Franklyn – No Ordinary Fox’ to take home with them after having a session with our very own Business Relations Coordinator, Chloe.
