In the 2018 East Cheshire Chamber of Commerce & Enterprise Awards, we were overjoyed to walk away with the coveted Business and Education Engagement Award.
Received by our delighted Principal Partner, Andrew Chatterton, the Award was one of 12 East Cheshire Chamber of Commerce awards given out at this year’s awards evening. This year’s black-tie presentation dinner was held on Friday 23rd March at the prestigious Cranage Hall, near Holmes Chapel.
Andrew commented, “I see education and working with students as a fundamental principle of our company.
“We’re an investment business, so we always take a long-term view – especially with the next generations coming through. We’re always holding graduate recruitment days, inviting local schools to visit our offices and offering talented students a start in their career. Now, having all those efforts officially recognised by our peers is very special.”
In March, we had local schoolchildren visit our offices to learn about financial management and take part in investment games, while one of our recent graduate recruitment days resulted in two new members of staff being taken on – one from Congleton High School and one from Tytherington School in Macclesfield.
With even more work experience days at our offices and visits to schools across Cheshire already in the diary, our great work with education is set to continue.
